Boris, I see that you generalized what I wrote for CZ. I made a special choice of A as the projection of O on the plane, while you take point A arbitrary (not nearest to O) in the plane. The vectors n0 and d are then of course not necessarily collinear. The caption of the figure should be adapted by stating that a special case is shown. Even better would be a new picture.

Further, you write consistently "on the picture", I believe it is "in the picture". --Paul Wormer 05:08, 29 December 2010 (EST)

"In the picture", OK.
Yes I did, and indeed I wrote so: "(in the picture it is the closest to the origin, but can be chosen arbitrarily)". Now I've adapted the capture. The text treats both the general case and the special case, and points that the picture is for the latter.
The new text covers all planes, not only planes not containing the origin.
Arbitrary A may be useful if you need the equation of a plane through a given point orthogonal to a given vector.
About a new picture, if I'll do it will be different in style, since I use a different graphical software. If you like you can do it of course; but really I see no problem in leaving it as is.
The special case is still in use (when proving that d is the distance between O and the plane), and I doubt we need two pictures here.
So, in your opinion, should I replace the text in the article?

I had a software crash and cannot redo the picture. The text is fine, I just made a few small modifications. --Paul Wormer 07:49, 29 December 2010 (EST)
It is still mainly my own text and I see nothing wrong with it (I didn't learn anything new since I wrote it.)--Paul Wormer 03:07, 31 December 2010 (EST)
