Hello, I'm Steven, a senior at the University of South Carolina. I currently live in Columbia, South Carolina and lived near Lynchburg Virginia (up near the mountains-used to hike a lot in them) for some years. My primary interest is history, particularly of Europe and the Middle East. I also know some about the history of my home state, though by no means am I an expert in it.

Politically, I'm generally center-left. I can read the Arabic alphabet and know a few words of Arabic and Persian. At various points in high school and college, I've taken classes in Arabic, Spanish, French, and German.
