Wat is de A9home patch

De A9home patch bestaat uit een reeks bijgewerkte modules en een stuk patch code die diverse problemen oplost op de A9home computer. Bijvoorbeeld het klikken op de 'Free'-optie in het menu van IDEFSFiler geeft na het installeren van deze patch wel het Free-venster inplaats van een foutmelding. What is the A9home patch

The A9home patch consists of some updated modules and a piece of patch code which will solve some annoying bugs for the A9home computer. For example the IDEFSFiler Free option gives the Free window instead of an error 'Unknown filing system.' Also opening HTTPS sites and LegacyHAL loaded doesn't bring your system down anymore. Wat is SmartMenu

Smartmenu is een module die zorgt dat submenu's niet standaard naar rechts worden geopend. Wanneer u bijvoorbeeld met de muispijl op meer dan 75% van de schermbreedte van de desktop zit en vervolgens een menu opent dan worden alle pijlen van de submenu's links in het menu geplaatst.U kunt dan makkelijker door submenu's scrollen omdat deze links van het hoofdmenu worden geopend wanneer u aan de rechterkant van de desktop zit te werken. What is SmartMenu

Smartmenu is a module which opens submenu's to the left when a menu is opened. For example when your mouse arrow is almost at the right side of your desktop, you open a menu and go to it's submenu then this submenus is opened on top of the parent menu which is not very convenient. It would be better if the submenu was opened to left where there is a lot of desktop space left. So this module ensures that submenus are opened to the left when there is no desktop space left to put the submenu. For more information see !Help.

Version 0.21a contains a new WimpSWIVe module which fixes the problem that Firefox crashes on the A9home computer.

Menon 32 bit

This version of Menon is a 32 bit conversion from version 2.07. It requires an ARM6 or higher processor to run. It works like version 2.07 except for two things. First the virtual desktop function is disabled as it's not RISC OS 4 compatible and second the MenonRT module is not available because it's not converted at the moment. Perhaps in the future. Wat is DismountFix

DismountFix is een module die ervoor zorgt dat de 'image' van Dosdisken gesloten worden wanneer u een dosdisk afmeldt. Standaard wordt de 'image' van een Dosdisk wel gesloten bij het afmelden van de disk maar wanneer het mapvenster van de hoofdmap nog open staat, wil DosFS na het afmelden nog iets met de disk doen. Na deze operatie blijft de 'image' van de Dosdisk open staan. Op zich is dit niet zo erg maar wanneer u meerdere Dosdisks achter elkaar gebruikt krijgt u heel gauw de melding 'Teveel disks' wat betekent dat er teveel disks zijn aangemeld. Deze module zorgt ervoor dat nadat DosFS z'n werk gedaan heeft, de Dos 'image' alsnog gesloten wordt.

What is DismountFix

DismountFix is a module which closes discimages of Dosdiscs when dismounting a floppydisc. Normal images of Dosdiscs are closed when the disc is dismounted but when the directory viewer of the root is still open on screen, DosFS wants to do something. After this process DosFS leaves the discimage open. This isn't a really a bad thing but when you use more Dosdiscs after each other then you will get the error 'Too many discs' soon which means that there are too many discs have been mounted. This module ensures that the image will be closed after DosFS has done his job.

Wat is HostFSPatch

HostFSPatch is een module die zorgt dat het weer mogelijk is om een map als 'Alleen Lezen' te openen wanneer deze op een HostFS disk staat.

Meestal worden mappen in programma's geopend (bv. met OPENIN in BASIC) om te kijken of deze map werkelijk bestaat. Bestaat de map niet dan krijgt het programma namelijk een 0 als 'filehandle' terug. Wanneer die map echter op een HostFS disk staat dan verschijnt er een foutmelding 'Access Denied'. Iets wat niet in 1e instantie was te verwachten maar wel begrijpelijk is omdat waarschijnlijk Windows dat niet ondersteund. Dit heeft wel consequenties voor het programma want die geeft een foutmelding en crasht of werkt daarna niet meer naar behoren. Een voorbeeld hiervan is Portfolio, de ClipArt viewer van CC. De ClipArt bibliotheken die op een HostFS disk staan worden niet meer herkend door deze applicatie. Maar na het laden van deze module werkt de applicatie als vanouds!

What is HostFSPatch

HostFSPatch is a module which solves the problem that you can't open a directory as read-only with OPENIN in BASIC or a equivalent command in other programming languages when this dir is on a HostFS filesystem.

Most times OPENIN on directories are used to see if it's really there. If you use this command on a directory which is stored on a HostFS filesystem then you get the error 'Access Denied' and the program crashes or doesn't function properly anymore. For example, CC's thumbnail ClipArt application Portfolio doesn't see any ClipArt libraries stored on a HostFS filesystem. But if you load this module it does!

Wat is Impression Hyphenator

Deze module is een verbeterde versie van de Nederlandse afbreek-module die Impression gebruikt om woorden af te breken. Met deze versie is het nu wel mogelijk om afbreek-uitzonderingen zonder problemen toe te voegen en op te slaan.

Wat is Reset Shutdown status

ResetShutdown status zet de 'Shutdown'-status in de CMOS terug op nul. Dit is erg handig als u niet meer gestoord wil worden door die irritante meldingen dat uw systeem niet goed was afgesloten.

Deze util is alleen handig voor gebruikers van RISC OS Select aangezien andere versies van RISC OS gebruikers niet lastig valt met irritante waarschuwingen over het niet veilig afsluiten van het besturingssysteem. U kunt deze util installeren door deze in de predesk-map te kopiëren of via de Boot-manager te installeren.

What is Reset Shutdown status

Reset Shutdown status is a utility that clears the current Shutdown status in the CMOS. This utility is very useful when you don't want to be bothered with those irritating messages, like that your system wasn't shutdown properly.

This utility is only useful for users of RISC OS Select because other versions of RISC OS don't bother you with unsuccessful shutdowns. You can install it very simply by copying/adding the utility to your predesk directory.

Wat is Sudoku

!Sudoku toont een 9 x 9 rooster met invoervelden. Deze kunnen worden ingevuld, waarbij meteen gecontroleerd wordt of de waarde is toegestaan. Er wordt ook direct gerekend, en zo mogelijk worden andere vakken automatisch gevuld. Correctie is hierdoor niet mogelijk, begin opnieuw bij fout vullen. Menu klikken op een vak laat ook de nog toegestane waarden voor dat vak zien. Daarnaast bestaat de mogelijkheid om een uniek oplosbare Sudoku te genereren. Je kunt zelf de Sudoku verder invullen, verkeerde waarden worden geblokkeerd. Via "Toon Oplossing" in het menu is direct de oplossing op te roepen. Bij het genereren kan een probleem onstaan. In dit geval begint het genereren automatich opnieuw. Bij zelf invullen kan dit ook gebeuren. Dit leidt tot de melding "Strijdige Sudoku".
